The Process
First of all our process works. If you follow our process you will eventually find the job that is right for you, not one that you have to settle for. Here is our process;
- Initial consultation to determine suitability for our program.
- Admittance to the program. We admit around 50% of the people who come to us for a consultation.
We develop a specific plan for you but here is basically the process that you will be following with us:
- You are not alone, you are hiring a team of experts.
- All steps are mandatory. For example, interview coaching. We are not going to get a client the interviews they want to have them blown on poor interviewing technique.
- Personality profile through psychological testing. (Psych testing is a loose guide.)
- Self evaluation and 20-20 Foresight evaluation of skills.
- Reconciliation of the skills and personality assessment by the client and 20-20 Foresight.
- Meeting to determine direction, strategy, and decisions made. Where do you go from here!!!
- 20-20 Foresight, with some assistance from the client, writes a detailed step-by-step action plan to get the job search started. Specifically, this is where the client with the help of 20-20 Foresight targets companies, 20-20 Foresight recommends we target at least 2,000 companies.
- Resume revision. Sometimes we prepare 2-3 versions. We know how to get you noticed.
- Extensive interview coaching. You will be an expert interviewer able to handle any situation.
- Tutorial for the client on the 20-20 Foresight Job Finding Management System (50,000+ database and job finding management system). Your entire job finding experience will be executed and monitored from this on-line system which you have access to 24/7. The system is easy to learn; it's like a slicked-up Microsoft Outlook.
- 20-20 Executive Marketing by direction from the client emails or regular mails the appropriate hiring contacts in the database. This can range from 100-500 emails/mailings per week. There is strength in numbers.
-
20-20 Foresight Executive Marketing has the following to assist the client;
- Marketing messages to hiring authorities that have impact and get you noticed.
- Email/mailing templates so emails to perspective hiring authorities do not look like spam and are not caught-up in spam filters.
- It is recommended that the client call the "target companies" contacts. We have proven telephone scripts/guides to introduce you to hiring authorities. After the first couple of calls it's easy and effective.
- For an additional fee 20-20 Executive Search will call a minimum of 50 contacts per week on your behalf. With this addition, we supplement the client's networking and act as their "Ambassador". Imagine the power of a professional from our staff making 600+ introductory calls for you over a three (3) month period.
- Tips on how to better work your own network (via email, telephone, introductions).
- We believe and have proof that an email/mail contact and a follow-up call will give our clients maximum exposure to a hiring authority.
Simply put, our process consists of expert advice on the following; career direction, resume creation, interviewing coaching and marketing/communication. Combine this with our database of hiring contacts and you will be successful. 20-20 Foresight subscribes to the laws of probabilities in that we recommend contact with 2,000 to in some cases 8,000 hiring authorities. We believe that if you make 2,000+ contacts you are bound to find many more opportunities just by the sheer number of contacts. There is strength in numbers!!!
Whether it be one month or six months finding a job is a long process full of failure until the very end. People who are familiar with marketing and sales are much better equipped at handling the process because they know that you may have to sludge through 500 contacts to get three great offers. I wish there was some way we could go to the "three great offers" immediately but unfortunately it doesn't work like that. And anyone who tells you it does, doesn't know what their talking about.
Our process is a targeted approach on the job you are looking for. However, it is our experience that the job search should not be too targeted to exclude hidden positions or opportunities you may not know anything about. Some recent successes and examples are as follows;
-
Tom D.
Job finding client was targeting a job in either asset management or development. Therefore we were targeting those firms. 20-20 Foresight's process also calls for contacting other prominent real estate people who are not perfect fits for the Tom D's. profile. During the marketing process of Tom D. 20-20 Foresight emailed the commercial brokerage community in his geographic area. Tom D. eventually accepted a position for a distressed fund targeting mixed-use developments in Chicago. The hiring authority was a top executive from a commercial brokerage who had assembled a $100 million fund and broke-off from his brokerage firm. Moral to the story; don't be too targeted in your job search. -
Peter O.
Job finding client was targeting a CEO or COO position at a real estate development and asset management firm. 20-20 Foresight's process also calls for contacting other prominent real estate people who are not perfect fits for the Peter O's. profile. During the marketing process of Peter O. 20-20 Foresight emailed the national investment banking community. Peter O. eventually accepted a position as CEO of an opportunity fund in NYC. Moral to the story; don't be too targeted in your job search. -
Kate D.
Job finding client was targeting a senior leasing position for an investment and asset management company. 20-20 Foresight's process also calls for contacting other prominent real estate people who are not perfect fits for the Kate D's. profile. During the marketing process of Kate D. 20-20 Foresight emailed the consulting community. Kate D. eventually accepted a position as a Principal at a real estate consulting firm in Los Angeles. Moral to the story; don't be too targeted in your job search.
